ASHLEY STOKER, MS, RDN, LPCC
I am a registered dietitian nutritionist and licensed professional counselor candidate. I have 13 years of experience in behavioral health including medically managed weight loss and 8 years of experience as a dietitian in behavioral health. I am also a licensed professional counselor candidate. Currently, I provide outpatient private practice services and group nutrition education for substance recovery. My focus is to assist individuals with a behavioral health diagnosis and/or medical conditions impacted by nutrition. I work with individuals 13 years and up.
As a health professional providing nutrition counseling services in the best interest of my clients, I am not in the business of selling. You won’t find me selling herbs, supplements, or specialized weight loss products. I can offer guidance when appropriate, taking into consideration your specific nutrient needs.
In my free time, I enjoy trail running and reading. My three kids keep me busy during the week. We love playing cards, especially UNO, snuggling with our three cats, and family hiking with our dog Ecko.
“I chose to become a dietitian because of my love of science and emerging knowledge demonstrating a strong link between nutrition and mental health. I believe mental health challenges and necessary medications do not have to completely interfere with managing chronic health conditions and weight management. I have found people are capable of change even if they have tried and not succeeded many times in the past, so much that I went back to school to become a Licensed Professional Counselor to support my clients .”
